1469226 2-(2-Thienyl)-ethylamine and derivatives thereof PARCOR 30 Jan 1976 [31 Jan 1975] 03849/76 Heading C2C Compounds of Formula I in which R 1 and R 2 are each hydrogen, C 1 -C 4 alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, are prepared by aminating a compound of formula in which R 3 is an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group, either directly with ammonia, or indirectly by first preparing the compound of formula by reaction of the compound of Formula I with phthalimide, followed by transamination with an amine or hydrazine hydrate.
