Abstract

1468600 Resistance heating devices PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 14 June 1974 [18 June 1973] 26418/74 Heading H5H An electric resistance heating element includes a thermal protective device 3 (e.g. a bimetallic switch) secured by resilient lugs 9, 10 to a support 1 for the element, the support having locking means 18 engaging cut-away portions of one lug 10. Bimetallic strip switch 3 has resilient lugs 9, 10, having openings 13 at respective ends 11, 12 for electrical connections, separated from one another by a block of resilient material 14. In assembly, end 12 of lug 10 is placed under projection 16 on holder 1. Lug 9 is then depressed until projection 16 on holder 1 passes through opening 17 in lug 9. Switch 3 is then pressed in direction P until projections 18 on holder 1 snap into apertures 19 in lug 10.
