Respiratory appliances.-The mouthpiece of a respiratory appliance is bent at an angle, and is formed with a padded chin-rest b to give greater steadiness in use. The mouthpiece is detachably or integrally connected with the coupling member a<1> of the breathing pipe, and is formed with an external screw-thread d whereby it. may be secured in the opening of a gas mask after the usual filter plug has been removed. Fig. 4 shows a modification, in which a neck strap c is connected to the chin-rest b to give greater security.
