Abstract
1468273 Blended coffee product GENERAL FOODS CORP 2 Oct 1974 42849/74 Heading A2B A partially decaffeinated coffee product is made by blending at least 20% of either non-decaffeinated or solvent decaffeinated high grade coffee with at least 30% of low grade coffee which has been water decaffeinated. Preferably the high grade coffee has a darker roast colour and a finer grind size than the low grade coffee. Also separate portions of the high grade coffee may be roasted to different average roast colours, at least one portion being lighter than and at least one portion being darker than the optimum roast colour.
