Abstract
1467742 Electronic timepiece ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 4 July 1975 [4 July 1974] 28298/75 Heading G3T [Also in Divisions H2 and H3] A circuit for driving an electro-mechanical transducer L, e.g. in a quartz clock, in which power is derived from a source UB via a resistor R comprises: a pair of complementary insulated-gate field-effect transistors T1, T2 forming an inverter stage; a pair of capacitors C2a, C2b connected in series between earth and the end of the resistor R remote from the supply; and the transducer drive means L connected between the junction of the two transistors and that of the two capacitors. During one half cycle of the input transistor is T1 conductive, to charge capacitor C2a and discharge capacitor C2b. During the other half cycle T2 is conductive to charge C2b and discharge C2a.
