1466419 Scaffold MITSUBISHI JUKOGYO KK 1 Nov 1974 47440/74 Heading E1S A scaffold for use inside a ship's hold has spaced portal frames 15-18 carrying vertically-movable platforms 26 and 35, each with a cabin 27 or 37 mounted on rails thereon to move therealong, the platforms 26 being mounted on the outsides of the frames, and the platforms 35 being mounted on dollies 31 at each end, which dollies can be carried up the upright portions 15 of the frames by 38 which in turn can run along rails 23 on the sloping portions 18 of the frames on to further rails 39 on the tops of further dollies 38 which in turn can run along rails 23 on the central portions 17 of the frames. Each cabin 27 carries controls for elevators 25, for its own horizontal movement, a spray gun 28 and an upper platform 29. Cabins 37 are generally similar. Elevators 25 may be moved up via a rotatable screw rod 24, as may elevators 30, which are also guided by a pair of guides, contacted by rollers on the elevators. The dollies 31 are supported by both rails and racks e.g. (20) and (21) (Fig. 6, not shown), on the tops of elevators 30, on the portions 16' and 18 of the frames, and on the tops of dollies 38. Dollies 31 are prevented from rolling off dollies 38 by locks (43), Fig. 7 (not shown).
