Abstract

1466368 Extrusion coating of metal tube VERENIGDE BUIZENFABRIEKEN VBF BV 31 Oct 1975 [5 Nov 1974] 45512/75 Heading B5A [Also in Division B2] A layer of thermoplastic synthetic resin, e.g. polyethylene, is extruded on to a metal tube, e.g. at 200‹ C., by means of a ring-shaped extruder head with liquid cooling from outside, the tube having been previously heated to 50‹ to 65‹ C. and coated with a layer of adhesive at least 0À15 mm. thick. The adhesive is a mixture based on synthetic resin, e.g. ethylene copolymers such as ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers, and further contains one or more natural resins and one or more paraffins and/or waxes.
