1465304 Reducing brake noise SOC ANON FRANCAISE DU FERODO 28 Oct 1974 [29 Oct 1973 17 Oct 1974] 46541/74 Heading F2E To reduce brake noise a support 11 for a friction lining 10 comprises a stack of metal sheets 12 contiguous to each other over their entire mutually facing surfaces and all assembled together. The sheets 12 may be secured together by glueing, welding in zones, by lipped flanges 21 of a further sheet 17 of by riveting or by two sheets 18 with portions 19 welded together. The friction lining may be secured by adhesive or anchored by passing through aligned apertures in the sheets (Fig. 2).
