Abstract

1464895 Furniture frames WILSON JONES CO 29 Jan 1974 [16 Feb 1973] 04153/74 Heading A4H [Also in Divisions B6 and F2] A rack for supporting suspension type files (see Division B6) comprises hollow uprights 8, crosspieces 9 extending between the uprights, each crosspiece having a male connecting portion 10 and a female connecting portion 11 at respective ends thereof, and complemented female and male connecting portions aligned and mated with the connecting portions of the crosspieces, all the connectmg portions being inserted through opposed aligned apertures 13a, 13b in the uprights and mated within the uprights. The male and female connecting portions are threaded and the end portions of the crosspieces 9 have shoulders 12a, 12b that abut the outer faces of the uprights. Aligned crosspieces 9a, 9b, Fig. 7, are connected directly end-to-end. At the corners crosspieces 9c, 9e, Fig. 6, are each secured by a stub rod 14 having male or female threads. Base-plates 16 are secured between adjacent uprights by nuts 16a and bolts 16b. The rack has top sections 20, 20a, 20b, Figs. 5 and 9, secured by plug members 22 inserted in open upperends of the uprights and dowels 25, 26 connecting the plug members and the top sections.
