Abstract

1464304 Paper insulated conductor RELIANCE CORDS & CABLES Ltd 20 May 1975 [20 May 1974] 22383/74 Heading H1A [Also in Division B8] An electrical conductor is wrapped with an insulating paper ribbon such that an exposed edge of the ribbon extends longitudinally of the conductor, the ribbon adjacent the edge being bonded to a further part of the ribbon. The overlap of the ribbon may subtend an angle of at least 110 degrees at the conductor's centre. The paper may have a moisture content of at least 4%. The bonding adhesive may be a hot melt adhesive comprising a polyolefine or a polyamide-based compound.
