1463359 Disproportionating toluene MOBIL OIL CORP 30 Dec 1974 [7 Jan 1974] 56017/74 Heading C5E Toluene is disproportionated in the vapour phase at 650-1000‹F., a pressure between atmospheric and 1000 p.s.i.g., a hydrogen : hydrocarbon mole ratio of 0 to 5 and a WHSV of 1-20 with a ZSMÀ5 or ZSMÀ11 zeolite catalyst. The zeolite may contain Fe, Co or Ni. The zeolite may be mixed with a binder, e.g. alumina.
