Abstract

1463354 Making envelopes STURE LJUNGDAHL AB 24 May 1974 [25 May 1973] 23356/74 Heading B5D [Also in Division B8] In an apparatus for manufacturing envelope blanks a web 104 is drawn from a magazine 700 and over a tensioning and regulating device 103 to a printing unit 105, for printing on both sides of the web, and is then fed successively through a unit 106 for the application of adhesive strips H, J, I, Fig. 3, a drying unit 107, a unit 108 for punching out a window D, and a device 113 for covering the window D with a strip of transparent material 110. The web is then fed to a forming-punch, and perforation roller 114, and from there to a cutting station 115, for the longitudinal cutting of the web into several webs. The latter then proceed to a dividing station 116 for the transverse cutting of the web when a magazine 42, or 44 has been filled.
