1462399 Cephalexin suppositories TOYAMA CHEMICAL CO Ltd 24 Oct 1974 [8 Nov 1973] 46107/74 Heading A5B Pharmaceutical compositions for rectal administration comprise cephalexin, an oily or water dispersible suppository base and a pharmaceutically acceptable surfactant in the weight ratio 1:1 to 20:0.1 to 4. Included as suppository bases are oils in which the antibiotic is dispersed, the dispersion being contained in an enveloping mantle, e.g. of gelatin.
