Abstract

1462090 Cement composition SOC FRANCAISE LANCO 20 March 1974 [22 March 1973] 12307/74 Heading C1H A cement composition comprises ground clinker cement and from 0À5 to 3 wt. per cent of sodium thiosulphate as an adjuvant, based on the weight of the cement. One or more further adjuvants may be present. Based on the total weight of adjuvants, there may be present 1- 5% paraformaldehyde adjuvant, 1-10% sodium hydroxide adjuvant and 20-45% sodium nitrite adjuvant. A liquid composition comprising 50 wt. per cent sodium thiosulphate, 2 wt. per cent paraformaldehyde, 1 wt. per cent sodium hydroxide and 47 wt. per cent water may be mixed in a quantity of between 1 and 3 wt. per cent with cement. Alternatively, a powder containing sodium thiosulphate (50% by wt.), sodium nitrite (40 wt. per cent), paraformaldehyde (2 wt. per cent) and anti-coagulating agent (8 wt. per cent) may be mixed in an amount of between 1 and 2 wt. per cent with the cement.
