Abstract

1460839 Stands for spectators W TELLENBACH 20 May 1974 [3 April 1974] 22498/74 Heading E1A In an extensible stand for spectators comprising step-like rows 16 adapted to be stacked in superimposed relationship, see Fig. 2 (not shown), when retracted, the intermediate rows 16 are supported in the extended position from the end rows 16', 16" to which end vertical loads are transmitted through slidable connections from an upper row to an adjacent lower row. The uppermost row 16 is secured to a wall 12 or columns 13 whilst the lowermost row 16" is provided with retractable rollers 46. The slidable connections between the rows may include rollers on one row engaging guides of an adjacent row for details of which the Specification and remaining drawings, (not shown), should be referred to. Intermediate props 18 on rollers 19 may also be provided.
