Abstract

1460264 Tank wagons GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE STERKRADE AG 30 Jan 1975 [5 Feb 1974] 4026/75 Heading B7L A railway tank wagon for transporting molten metal comprises an elongate vessel pivotally supported at its ends 8, 9 with its central longitudinal axis horizontal, on bogies 10, 11, the vessel having an internal fireproof lining 12 extending substantially the length of the vessel and the interior space being divided, along at least one transverse vertical plane, a sealed flange connection e.g. 3, capable of being undone, being arranged between the two parts 1, 2 or each pair of adjacent parts. As shown in Fig. 1, filling openings 4, 5 closable by covers 6, 7 are provided, at the top of the vessel, one on each side of the central flange 3. In another form the dividing flange is not central and only one filling opening with cover is provided in the longer part. In a still further form the vessel is divided in three parts, the opening and cover being provided in the central part.
