Abstract

1459491 Two-part couplings SOCAPEX 11 Jan 1974 [12 Jan 1973] 01516/74 Heading H2E A connector comprises contacts 2 mounted on an insulating block 1 which is slidingly secured in a casing 6 by means of co-operating grooves 8, 9 and tongues 10, 11, while the casing has a slidably displaceable wall 7 to permit entry and withdrawal of the block. The contacts are connected to cores 4 of a cable 5 led through apertures 13, 20. Grooves 14, 15 on the wall 17 slide over slideways 16 and the wall is retained by studs 18 engaging recesses 19. In another embodiment, Fig. 2, jaws (21, 22) are formed on the casing and wall 7 to clamp against the cable, the jaws having apertures for receiving locking screws.
