Abstract
1459288 Cleaning metals in molten salt baths HARTOL-WERK VEB 10 Dec 1974 [11 Dec 1973] 53455/74 Heading C7E Ferrous metals are cleaned in a molten salt bath comprising 50 to 90% caustic alkali, 10 to 40% of a borate or phosphate of an alkali or alkaline earth metal, and 0.1 to 10% SiC. The temperature may be 300 to 600‹C and the time of contact up to 120 minutes.
