1458527 Pneumatic conveyers TRYTHALL DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT Ltd 5 Aug 1974 [15 Aug 1973] 39593/73 Heading B8A A blow tank is provided with a series of spaced apart plates adjacent the internal bottom surface of the container, the arrangement of the plates being such as to form orifices therebetween, each plate having a central aperture. In the Figure compressed air to fluidize or discharge material in blow tank 1 is supplied to an air distribution ring 12 from where the air passes through the orifices formed between adjacent plates 10 and into the material at the edge of the central aperture of the upper plate. The apertures of the plates having increasing diameters upwards and the air sweeps across the surface formed by the plates to fluidize and/or discharge the material through line 18.
