1458489 Electric incandescent lamps PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 Feb 1975 [22 Feb 1974] 6990/75 Heading H1F [Also in Division C1] In an electric lamp sealed by pinch seal 8 of substantially rectangular cross-section, the pinch is formed with grooves 9 along two edges whereby burrs 4 formed along said edges on withdrawal of compression member 5 remain within the rectangular circumference of the pinch. Grooves may also be formed along edges C (Fig. 4, not shown) although no burrs occur there.
