Abstract

1458462 Thermal switch BEHR-THOMSON DEHNSTOFFREGLER GmbH 16 Sept 1974 [27 Sept 1973 8 Nov 1973] 40247/74 Heading H1N A thermal switch assembly comprising a temperature dependant actuator 2, Fig. 1, and a contact unit 1 in a housing 14 is fixedly mounted in a tubular part 8 of a container for the fluid to be controlled and has a plug part 5 with an O-ring or like seal 9. The means for retaining the assembly in position may comprise one or more spring clips 11 engaged in recesses or grooves in the contact unit 1 and tubular part 8 and several forms of clips are described. Alternatively a circumferential lip (29) Fig. 7 (not shown) on the housing 14 may engage radial projections on the tubular part 8 where this is of resilient plastics material. An assembly retained by a bayonet joint is also described.
