Abstract

1457945 Vehicle storage MAGEBA SA 13 Feb 1974 [15 Feb 1973] 6441/74 Heading B8H A garage, for storing two vehicles one above the other, comprises a base frame 5 with a vertical support 15 to pivotally support an upper platform 13 connected by links 17, 18, pivoted at each end, to a lower platform 6. A hydraulic ram 14 is pivotally connected between the base frame 5 and the upper platform to raise and lower the platforms and a vertical guide 7, 8 forming part of the support 15 guides a roller 9<SP>1</SP> secured to the lower platform during the raising and lowering. A hook 10 at this garage entrance 4, co-operates with a rod 11 on the lower platform to define an upper position of the lower platform. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown) the vertical guide (22) for the roller (9) is formed separate from the support 15 and is extended upwardly to form a suspension point (24) for a hydraulic ram (14) connected to the lower platform. In a further embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown) the vertical guide (27) is merely formed separate from the support (15).
