1457927 Mounting wiper arms on shafts SWF-SPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU GmbH 17 April 1974 [23 May 1973] 16758/74 Heading F2U A wiper arm for a windscreen or headlamp is mounted on the end of a drive shaft by a securing member 12 to which the hinge member 10 of the wiper arm and a plastics cover 20 is connected by a pin 15, the securing member and the hinge member being spaced apart at the end regions of the pin and the cover being detachably-mounted in these exposed end regions by slotted bores 21 provided with flexible constrictions 23, 24. The securing member 12 and hinge member 10 are spaced apart by a bearing bush 16 and the cover 20 is mounted over a shorter bearing bush 17 which is fixed to the securing member 12; alternatively, the cover may be mounted directly on the exposed parts of the pin 15 when the members 10 and 12 are spaced apart directly on the pin. The cover 20 may be provided with ribs 25 to engage grooves in the member 12.
