Abstract

1457832 Grab buckets MITSUBISHI SEIKO KK 29 Oct 1974 46866/74 Heading B8H A grab bucket comprises a frame 10 with guide rails 15, a pair of bucket segments 32 pivoted at 31 to the frame and a sliding block 22 movable along the guide rails 15 and connected by links 34 to the bucket segments. Plates 18 are secured to the lower end of the frame 10 to form a cover or shield over the open upper ends of the bucket segments and plates 36, secured across each bucket segment adjacent their connection with the links 34, provide additional cover for said upper ends. The plates also serve to limit the penetration of the bucket segments when they are dropped into the material to be handled. A resilient seal 37 extends around the edges of the bucket segments which are brought into abutment when the bucket is closed.
