Abstract

1468158 Conveyer spillplates R HARRISON 10 April 1974 [12 May 1973 25 June 1973] 4777/74 and 29961/73 Divided out of 1468157 Heading B8A Spillplates 5, 5<SP>1</SP> attached by spacers 3 to the trough sections of a mine conveyer each comprise at one end on upper lug 4, 4<SP>1</SP> and at the other end a lower part 10, 10<SP>1</SP>. The parts 4, 10 and 4<SP>1</SP>, 10<SP>1</SP> interlock but permit vertical and horizontal movement between adjacent spillplates. A flexible strip of material 13 for retaining cables (not shown) may be secured along the spillplates or a partial strip (14, Fig. 5, not shown) may be attached to adjacent spillplates above the parts 4<SP>1</SP>, 101. Fig. 6 shows a lug 4 received in a cut-out in the spillplate and indicates how a mining equipment underframe 19 is able to clear a spillplate by provision of the spacer 3.
