Abstract

1457676 Electric motors SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 4 Sept 1974 [5 Sept 1973] 38643/74 Heading H2A A stepping motor comprises a permanent magnet rotor interacting with a stator including two pole pieces 201, 202 fixed to and in engagement with a member 223 of smaller magnetic permeability than the stator pole pieces. The member 223 may be of non-magnetic material. Both pole pieces may be permanently fixed to member 223. Alternatively one pole piece, 202 as shown, may be adjustably secured to member 223. The pole pieces are connected to a core carrying an energizing coil. The rotor may rotate in one direction or oscillate. The motor is intended for use in a quartz crystal timepiece.
