Abstract

1455232 Knitting machines ELITEX 27 March 1975 [3 April 1974] 12822/75 Heading D1C Radial knitting instruments, such as sinkers 14 in a double cylinder knitting machine, are mounted in a tricked carrier 10 comprising outer and inner rings 11, 12 joined by ribs defining the tricks 13, the sinkers being guided by butts 15 and also having control butts 17, substantially equal in height to the butts 15, which engage in a track defined by cam rings 18, 19 located between the carrier rings 11, 12, only the outer ring 18 being disposed in the space between the butts 15, 17 and such ring having an axially liftable section 22 to provide a gap in the ring for the removal of the sinkers from their tricks. The section 22 is mounted on pins 23 under spring 25 loading and has a manual lifting rod 26.
