1454391 Caravans R H A RICHARDS and G R A MATTHEWS 16 April 1974 [17 Jan 1973] 2541/73 Heading B7B Storage or sleeping spaces 32 in a caravan are formed by sliding the lower ends 22 of frames 18 outwardly along guides 24 so that horizontal panels 26 are extended, a roof panel 16 is raised, and flexible coverings 30 are extended by subframes 28. The equipment for forming the spaces may be provided as a conversion kit for fitting over the roof opening 14. The panels 26 may be self-supporting in their extended positions or may be linked to the frames 18 by cables. The illustrated equipment forms two lateral spaces. In alternative arrangements (not shown), there may be a single space, a pair of fore and aft spaces, or spaces on all four sides of the caravan.
