Abstract

1454300 Dispensing fluids INSTAPAK CORP 20 Dec 1973 [26 Dec 1972] 59282/73 Heading A4T [Also in Division B1] A system for dispensing mixtures of heated reactants, e.g. to produce polyurethane foam, comprises a respective conduit 13, 14 for each reactant leading to dispensing means 15, an electric heating element 21 formed by a wire in each conduit 13, 14 extending substantially to its output end, and temperature sensing means 27 adjacent the output end of at least one of the conduits allowing the temperature at which the reactants are dispensed to be controlled. Each wire 21 is preferably heated by an A.C. source 26, and a compressed air conduit may actuate the dispensing means 15, preferably a dispensing gun. The reactants, e.g. constituents of polyurethane foam, may be supplied from receptacles (11, 12), Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown), preferably under nitrogen pressure.
