Abstract
1454034 Stackable trucks VARIANTSYSTEMET AS 28 Aug 1974 [3 Sept 1973] 37677/74 Heading B7B The upwardly pivotable floor 5 of a stackable truck has hooks 6 which secure side members 4 in their operative positions. In these positions, an inverted channel section edging 7 on each side member 4 lodges over a bead 8 within each hook. The side members 4 are hinged to a fixed side member 3 in such a way that they can be upwardly displaced to a limited extent. Thus each side member 4 can be lifted and swung inwardly to free it from the bead 8, and then lifted and swung outwardly to clear the hook 6. The side members 4 are then divergent, so that by pivoting the floor 5 up against the fixed side member 3 to expose a trapezial undercarriage 1, the truck is ready for stacking. In this condition, the hooks 6 engage gripping members 9 on the side members 4 both to hold the floor in its upright position and to hold the side members 4 in their divergent condition.
