1452880 Electrolytic chlor-alkali production HOECHST AG 4 Aug 1975 [6 Aug 1974] 32476/75 Heading C7B A chlor-alkali production process comprises passing alkali metal chloride to parallel-connected anode compartments of a plurality of cells while passing water into the cathode compartment of a first cell and then passing the catholyte produced in series through the cathode compartments of the remaining cells, the compartments of each cell being separated by an ion-exchange membrane. The arrangement of cells is claimed per se.
