Abstract

1451981 Cot J H SHIPSIDES and E J GREGORY 10 June 1975 [21 Nov 1974] 50463/74 Heading A4J A baby rocker for supporting or forming part of a cot or carry-cot, comprises a base 5, a tops 4 flexibly secured to the base 5, a weight moveably secured to the top 4 and a motor 2 for moving the weight, whereby the top 4 may be rocked on the base 5. As shown, the weight 3 is eccentrically mounted on a disc 1 supported by an axle 7 mounted on a strut 10 secured to top 4, the strut 10 being secured to flexible bushes 6 mounted on brackets 9 on base 5, the disc being rotated by an electric motor 2 via a pulley 8 and an endless band. Springs 11 maintain top 4 horizontal. In a modification Figs 4-5, (not shown), the weight (15) is mounted on the end of an arm (13) swung to and fro by an eccentric cam (16) driven by the motor, the arm being biased against the cam by a spring (17).
