Abstract

The mini-roundabout with single chair has a round base plate (1), a bearing assembly (2-7) and an inverted 'L' shaped arm (10). The armrotates about a vertical axis through the stem (11) and may incorporate a chair (28) on its free end (12). The bearing assembly may constitute a flared housing containing an axle socket (3) and two interfitting flanged bell-shaped hub pressings (4, 6). The pressings may be bolted together axially to sandwich the edges of a central aperture (2) in the base plate (1). The bottom of the axle socket (3) may be built onto the top pressings (4). The stem (11) of the cranked bar (10) fits in the socket and may be adjustable for height by means of a screw-jack (20).
