Abstract

A device for assisting a baby or infant when learning to walk comprises at least a support arm 3, 4 attached to a post 1, which defines a vertical axis about which the support arm rotates. The distal end of the support arm 3 may have a seating arrangement 5 attached for accommodating and supporting the infant. A tray 6 may also be attached to the device for holding toys and other items. The support arm 3, 4 may be telescopically adjustable to increase or decrease the radius of the device. Protection against overturning of the device may be provided by an additional wheeled support 7 which is attached to the support arm 3. Further stability may be provided by splayed feet which extend from the base of the post 1. The infant is unable to move beyond the radius of the device and, hence, will be prevented from meeting dangerous situations.

Description

Circling baby step walker In the past as well as in the present so many ways and means has been used to help baby learn and walk independently and still that search continuous to get easiest and most suitable way for different life styles.
In the urban life where the space is so precious and even few centimeters counts and the people and their needs may be squeezed in small space, with this may be associated with dangerous places and appliances that the children should be kept away.
This invention brings solution to the need of the baby to learn walking and feel free while he cannot move out of the intended radius.
This baby step walker can be carried from place to place and assembled at desired space.
In accordance with the invention the arm part which carries the baby when inserted into the post and the baby tries to walk, he pushes the tray and the whole arm will move, but only in circular way, rotating around the post.
Fig 1 shows the legged post which will give the whole device its stability and to be in the desired space, as it will be the center of the space that the baby will circle.
Fig 2 shows the arm part that will carry the baby safely as he circles around the post.
Fig 3 shows an assembled device.
This circling baby step walker can be moved from place to place by older person not by the baby and the arm part 2 can be inserted in the legged post 1, so when the baby is on his seat 5 and tries to step he pushes the tray 6, from that force the arm will move, and because of its insertion into the fixed post it will move circularly with the post as its axis. The tray 6 can be used to carry some attractive stuff or toys to encourage the baby walking. The arm can be reduced or extended to fit the desired space by sliding one part of it 3 into or off from the other part 4, thus controlling the space that the baby will use. For prevention of overturning and more safety a wheel 7 is provided to fix in the arm.
