Abstract

145,116. Redditch Electro Plating Co., and Guise, J. March 19, 1919. Coating-processes.-In order to prevent rusting, articles such as needles and fish-hooks are immersed for a few minutes in a potash solution containing bismuth and plumbago in suspension -say 1 oz. of the last two substances and ¢ lb. of caustic potash to a gallon of water. They may then be provided with a protective covering, for instance by lacquering or japanning.
