Abstract

1450273 Ester lubricants NEYNABER CHEMIE GmbH 8 Feb 1974 [12 Feb 1973] 05805/74 Heading C3P [Also in Division C2] Lubricants for thermoplastic synthetic resinous material comprise mixed esters of acid value 0 to 12 from (a) aliphatic diols, (b) aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and/or aromatic polycarboxylic acids (2-6 carboxyl groups), and (c) aliphatic monofunctional alcohols (12-30 C), in molar ratios a : b : c of n : n + 1 : (n+ 1)m-2n, where n is whole number 1-11 and m represents the functionality of the polycarboxylic acid. Suitable specific esters are from 2 mols butane-diol, 3 mols tricarballylic acid and 5 mols stearyl alcohol; and 1,4-butane diol citric or acetylcitric acid and an equal mixture of cetyl and stearyl alcohol, the latter being used to lubricate a polyvinyl chloride composition.
