144,909. Vincent, H. July 28, 1919. Stockings and socks. -Hose are m a d e mainly of relatively thin material, such as Milanese silk, with the toe and heel portions of strong fabric, such as cotton. Each heel and toe portion is formed of two flat pieces of material, which are preferably double, joined together by a. seam, one d running in alinement with the back seam e of the stocking and under the heel, the other h longitudinally along the toes. The heel and toe portions b, c are connected to the main part a of the stocking by seams f, g, j. A piece of string material k is sewn to the top of the main portion by a seam l.
