Abstract

1448795 Window-operating mechanism LAMES SpA 4 June 1974 24750/74 Heading E2M In a window-winding mechanism for vehicles a fixed guide 4 extends parallel to the direction of movement of the window 3 and a transmission cord 31, passing over a plurality of guide pulleys 18, 23, 29, is moved by a control member 27, the different parts forming the mechanism being connected together as a unit which is mountable directly on the vehicle door. The unit comprises a rectilinear rigid guide 8 on which is mounted a movable slide 7 which includes a bracket 6 for attachment to the lower edge of the window 3. Two idler pulleys 18 and 23 are attached to supports 15, 20 at the ends of the guide 8 and the cord 31 passes through two flexible sheaths 25, 26 permitting relative movement of the control means with respect to the rigid guide to fit the unit to the door. The drive pinion 30 of the control member 27 may be operated by an electric motor or mechanically.
