Abstract

1448203 Building ETAB RAFEL 7 Sept 1973 [12 July 1972] 32567/72 Heading E1A A building includes a central, arched section 36 formed of rectangular panels 38 and two end sections 30, 34 each having a semi-polygonal base contiguous with the base of the central section and each formed of upwardly convergent sectors in turn formed from trapezoidal panels 44. The central section 36 is of such a shape that there are no net forces on the panels 40 whilst the end sections have a net inward force whereby it can withstand extra loading, e.g. snow. Trusses, Fig. 8 (not shown) are arranged beneath the central section.
