Abstract

1445889 Nozzles ISHIKAWAJIMA-HARIMA JUKOGYO KK 26 Oct 1973 [31 Dec 1972 (2)] 50075/73 Heading B2F [Also in Division F4] A fuel injection nozzle comprises a fuel/air mixing chamber 5 defined by side walls and a flat front wall, the latter having a plurality of outlet orifices 4a-6d arranged in one or more straight rows the orifices having bores whose axes are inclined to the axis of the nozzle so that the jets from the orifice do not interfere with each other. The nozzle is supplied with fuel via conduit 2 and with air via conduits 3 into mixing chamber 5. The outlet orifices 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d may be disposed in one or more rows, or in zig-zag fashion, in a flat end wall of the nozzles with the indicated angles such that #, <# 2 <# 3 <# 4 .
