Abstract

1445867 Wall and ceiling frameworks ETAB FRESA 1 Oct 1973 [29 Sept 1972 15 March 1973 3 April 1973 25 June 1973] 45769/73 Heading E1W A framework for forming building structures comprises base plates with spaced anchoring members 6 which align tubular posts 7, support members 23 with a stud 40 for engaging the upper end of the post and beams 24 provided with end recesses for resting on the support members. The support members may have four or more arms to provide a grid array of beams in a ceiling arch or dome. The posts support members and beams may be of plastics or Aluminium alloy reinforced by steel elements 56, 58. The posts may be filled with foamed plastics or steel reinforced cast in situ concrete. The framework may provide the reinforcement for cast-in-situ walls and ceilings of cellular concrete, lime mortar, fibrous cements or foamed or other plastics. The cast-in-situ material may be reinforced between the framing members by corrugated and apertured sheets of steel, aluminium, plastics or paper, see Figs. 17-21 (not shown). Further sheets, not shown may be adhered to the apices of the corrugated sheets. The beams may be secured to the support members by pins through aligned apertures 47, 46 and the beams placed in compression by tensioned cables extending through longitudinal recesses or bores in the beams and support members. The posts may be square or round cross section.
