Abstract

1445255 Bolts SCHMELZBASALTWERK KALENBORN DR ING MAURITZ KG 10 Sept 1974 [16 Oct 1973] 39516/74 Heading F2H [Also in Division B8] Abrasion-resistant plates 1-4 of a conveyer, particularly a spiral gravity conveyer shoot casing, are secured to a support structure 6 by screws 5 having heads 10 which are rectangular in plan, the heads being countersunk into the plates to present a flush surface therewith. The head 10 may be of a steel of greater hardness than the shank, the head and shank being welded together. Alternatively the screw may be of partially tempered chilled cast steel, or the head may be faced with a hard surface of deposited weld metal, or an abrasion-resistant material glued on with an epoxy resin.
