Abstract

1445117 Valves T I DOMESTIC APPLIANCES Ltd 12 June 1974 [10 Aug 1973] 38043/73 Heading F2V A gas valve has two body parts 1, 2 each of which includes a furnctional part of the flow control and which can be joined with one another so that an outlet in one part can extend in any one of a number of directions relative an inlet 6 in the other part. The two parts 1, 2 can be screwed together with a sealant in the threads or can be a push-fit with 0-ring seals. Part 2 which has the outlet 7 includes a spring-biased closure member 18 operated by a thermostat having a sensing bulb 20 and a contracting/ expanding member 20<SP>1</SP>. Part 1 includes the adjustable seat 17, a rotary cock 11 and a bypass 21 including a replaceable restriction. Rotary cock 11 is actuated by a member 8 which must be axially displaced against spring 12 to disengage pin 13 from projection 14 before rotation. Shaft 9 carrying a blade 15 and connectible by grub screw 23 to member 8 allows the seat 17 to be adjusted.
