Abstract

1444806 Cabinets; furniture parts SIEMENS AG 31 July 1973 [1 Aug 1972] 36480/73 Headings A4B and A4U [Also in Division F2] A cabinet-like compartmented housing, intended to hold cartons and/or test equipment, is built from a plurality of wall compenents 11, 22 of standard width b and lengths which are equal to or an integral multiple of a standard length L, each wall component being provided at each of two opposite ends with spaced tongues having coaxial holes 15 or 25, the tongues at one end being located at places across the width of the wall at which there are no tongues at the opposite end whereby the tongues at one end of one wall component 11 or 22 may be interfitted between the tongues at an end of a similar wall component 11 or 22 and the components inter-connected by passing an elongate headed pin 31 through the aligned holes 15, 25. The tongues have a width which is an integral division, e.g. one tenth, of the width b of the wall components 11, 12. The wall components include L-section members 11 with equal length limbs 12, 13 and planar members 22 of a length of 1-4 times the standard length L. Recesses 16, 27 are formed respectively in the angle of the L-section members 11 and intermediately of the length of the planar members 22 to receive the tongues of other wall components, coaxial holes 15, 25 again being provided to receive pins 31.
