Abstract

1444410 Rollers INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 15 Nov 1973 [26 Dec 1972] 52987/73 Heading F2U [Also in Division G2] A roller, which in use is part of a heat-focusing device for electrostatic toner images, comprises a cylindrical core and an outer coating of a silicone elastomer, cured to such an extent that when the roller is in use weight loss, consequent on the escape of cyclic siloxanes, is at a substantially constant rate. Preferably the roller is heated in a vacuum, after formation and initial curing, at a temperature above that at which it is to be used.
