1443944 Optical filters STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 9 Oct 1973 [12 Oct 1972] 47029/72 Heading G2J An optical filter which has a non-uniform transmissivity of the type having windows in the red, green and the blue regions of the spectrum comprises an interference multi-layer filter of the Fabry Perot type consisting of one or more sections, each section consisting of an odd number of alternate layers of high and low refractive index material arranged in a stack, each layer being a quarter wavelength thick with the exception of the centre layer of the stack which layer is an integral number of half wavelengths thick. The centre layer may be of zinc selenide.
