Abstract

1441935 Metal pouring apparatus OSKAR FRECH WERKZEUBAU 3 Oct 1973 [6 Oct 1972] 46214/73 Heading B3F [Also in Division F4] Ladling apparatus for transferring molten metal from a furnace 1 to the press chamber 2 of a pressure casting machine 3 comprises a ladle 8 pivotally supported about an axis 7 on an arm 4 which is pivotable about an axis 6 through the positions I-VI by a motor 5. A linkage 9 connects a lever 10, rotationally fast with the ladle 8, to a member 11, which is reciprocable in the direction 13 by an hydraulic ram 12. In operation, the member 11 is maintained stationary and the arm 4 is pivoted from the fullline position I to the position VI, the ladle moving through the positions shown. When the arm 4 reaches the position VI, the member 11 is reciprocated to tilt the ladle into the emptying position 8a. The length of the linkage 9, the stroke of the ram 12 and the angle between the ladle 8 and lever 10 are adjustable. The ladle is provided with a filling aperture 14.
