Abstract
1439450 Filling shells and other containers K E HESSELGREN 3 Feb 1975 [8 Feb 1974] 4579/75 Heading F3A A method of compressing a particulate material in a container having a small opening, e.g. compressing a particulate explosive in a shell, comprises evacuating the container of air and expanding an elastic bag, inserted in the container, with fluid pressure so as to compress the particulate material. The compression can be performed in a series of steps, with a smaller bag being used each time.
