1438932 Cleats C B COCHRANE 27 Sept 1974 42144/74 Addition to 1371646 Heading E2B The sliding jaw or jaws 4, 5 of the jamming cleat described in the Main Patent are spring-loaded in a longitudinal direction to bias them towards their gripping position. The spring(s) may be of compression or tension type, but preferably comprises an integral plastics arm 11, 12, as shown. The sliding jaws are retained in their sliding position by turned-over tops 6.
