Abstract

1437665 Bearings ERNST LEITZ GmbH 18 April 1974 [26 April 1973] 16930/74 Heading F2A A shaft 1 is coupled to a control member (e.g. of a measuring instrument) so as to be longitudinally displaceable in a stationary guide member 4 provided with a body 5 which is attached to the guide member by an adhesive substance and fits into a groove 2 in the shaft. The shaft may be longitudinally displaced by a screwthreaded control member which is rotated relative to the shaft. The body 5 may be cylindrical or spherical and adjusted by a set screw 7<SP>1</SP> before hardenable adhesive is introduced into the recess 8. Excess adhesive may escape through a channel 9 or a hollow set screw 7<SP>1</SP>. The groove in the shaft may take the form 2, 2<SP>1</SP> or 2<SP>11</SP> as shown.
